I am a Charleston native and a proud product of the Charleston County School District. I graduated from Baptist Hill High School in 1995, and matriculated at South Carolina State University where I earned a B.S. in Mathematics. In December 2011, I earned a Master of Educational Leadership degree in Secondary School Administration from The Citadel. I have 15 years of experience in the field of education, where I have served in various roles as a high school math teacher and math department chair. Since April of 2015, I have proudly served as an Assistant Principal at Baptist Hill Middle High School.
For me, the most exciting aspect of being an educational administrator is the ability to assist in creating an environment where learning is the focus and all decisions made endorses student success. I believe that keeping a positive atmosphere is the key to success as well as keeping the lines of communication open among staff, students, and parents. I feel that teamwork is the ultimate way a school can be successful in reaching the goal of helping a child attain his or her full potential.
My wife and I have 3 daughters and a son. In my spare time I like to listen to music, cook, and most of all spend quality time with my family.
