Cell Phone Policy

In accordance with the General Appropriations Bill, H. 5100 of 2024 for South Carolina, schools are implementing new measures to address cell phone use in educational settings. This policy aims to minimize distractions, improve student engagement, and enhance the overall learning environment. As part of this initiative, we will be utilizing Yondr pouches, which require students to secure their cell phones during school hours. Students will place their devices in the pouches upon arrival, and they will remain locked until the end of the school day. This approach ensures that students can focus on academics and interpersonal interactions while reducing the disruptions caused by cell phone use. We appreciate the cooperation of students and parents in supporting this effort to foster a productive and distraction-free school environment.
